The fact that they are considering that Razah should be a little more easily attainable shows that the dev team understands things from the average players perspective. That's pretty cool.
Maybe they already felt this way without seeing the posts about people wanting easier access to a ritualist hero.
Anyway, here's hoping that they manage to find a way to allow the average player to get a rit hero.
As for me, I'm playing a rit again, and I'm not really great at the game, so maybe I'll have a 'big brudda' rit hero to play with someday.

rit lord spam for an hour and a half actually. With the buff to balth faction in RA its really easy to unlock the stuff you want

Would be nice to get him earlier, would love to test some builds (love just standing and watching heroes do the job, it`s gratifiying to say the least).
Go Gaile!
Thought he would be in the Desolation but so far beyond the Vortex is just silly.

If ANet removes the Gem requirement I'll be very happy lol, so far I have my chars parked at DoA. None of em have found a group to get the gems individually so it kinda sucks.

Maybe they can add another Ritualist somewhere that is easier to get.
Or make it so Razah is easier to get, but change the hero recieved from the quest to something like a different species.
Like a Tengu or Naga hero or something.
I'm sure people would like a neat Tengu or Naga hero as a reward for DOA.
Nagas and Tengu already come with the ability to equip items and use skills. They probably have a complete bone structure like human models.
The game already has many different Tengu models. They come in all shapes and sizes! People who have just bought Nightfall may have never seen a Tengu and really think they are neat.

But they squawk and scare the heck out of any hardened Prophecies player!
Talon Silverwing already makes me jumpy, I'm not sure my heart can take a Tengu hero

I hope bit more easily doesnt mean you remove gemstone requirements. Make gemstone drops easier, have triple gemstone drop weekend, but do no simply give Razah as some lame quest reward.
I got my Razah by playing with friends. I didn't even consider completing Mallyx, but we farmed and *gasp* shared the gemstone drops. With current drop rate you can get lot of gemstones and if you bother to *double gasp* share drops with friends/guild mates it quite easy to get, so you dont even have to complete single quest for these gemstones.
Bring in that triple gemstone weekend and let people achive it themself. They could always farm easier areas for gold/green and buy gemstones (prices are still dropping).

Terra Xin, what do you mean?
I don't understand.
I was just thinking that another non-human hero would be neat to get and it looked like the game already has a complete bone animation set for Tengu to perform any professions moves.
It can be a mute Tengu.

well I got razah yesterday it is pretty easy, if anet changes it. Don't forget us players who work hard to get razah. I only bought one gem worth about 15k. I pretty much did must of the quest to get them gems.
to the design team I like how you made the aera for razza. however I could have been bigger aera to explore

I hope by changes she means they've found a way to make Razah variable and then made it 2 heroes per campaign since they add 2 classes per campaign meaning we get a mesmer and a new ritualist whoo hoo! YEAH!

Humans would be the template for Guildwars when making other species. So if a Tengu is in forms of different skin tones and clothing, its a sign of race, similar to that of a Human. Sorry, I think I went a little tangent with my reply :P.

Oh I see now. The Tengu would just be using all the human animations with a modified bone structure. I'm guessing the Naga are very similar. They would just make the bottom part of the naga shift to the leg bones moving back and forth?
Let's have some Tengu heroes!
Here's some names.
Quillo McHuffsalot
Beaker Grunter
Barking Birdman

I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean, exactly, considering that you have said on hundreds of occasions that player feedback is absolutely invaluable, and that you (devs) take what players say into account when planning changes.

What that means is that player feedback comes in many forms, and that the dev team is probably aware of issues -- from the player base, yes! -- before those issues become a matter of screaming and nagging. I mean that by the time players are screaming and nagging about it, the team has read the earlier, more-constructive comments and is already at work contemplating changes.

Well, I consider myself a semi-hardcore player (I play a lot, but only with henchies and heroes) and I HATE the wait time for getting groups. I became thrilled by the fact that Heroes were introduced, it allowed me to have a good enough group to beat Prophesies (have you seen how FEW people are in the RoF?).
If the DoA had like henchmen or even better (but highly unlikely ) the option to go 7 heroes I would be in there full time trying to beat it, but the fact that I need to go with a group of players turns me off. (Much like the HoH, UW, and FoW) Heck, I wouldn't mind a reduced drop rate, all I care about is being able to do the full PvE experience alone.

Well, I will certianly welcome any changes to DoA. I'm sure Anet had good intentions going in, but seeing as its rarely able to even make over one district worth of players, it is obviously very unpopular. I really don't care whether that be a complete overhaul of the place to make it somewhere people would actually want to play or simply making the hero more attainable so I can get him and never go back. At any rate, I'll welcome any change that will simplify the process. I thank you if you indeed are doing this.
